      The short version: Sideline Studio does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. We don't require you to create an account. The schedule text you paste is processed temporarily to parse your games and is never stored on our servers.
    

Who we are

Sideline Studio is a sports scheduling tool for parents, operated by Sideline Studio Co. ("we," "us," or "our"). Our website is located at sidelinestudioco.com. You can contact us at hello@sidelinestudioco.com.

Information we do not collect

We do not:

Require you to create an account or provide personal information to use our tools
Store the schedule text you paste into our parser
Store game data, calendar exports, or tournament information you generate
Sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
Use cookies for tracking or advertising
Build profiles of individual users

How our tools work

When you paste a schedule into our Schedule Parser, the text is sent to Anthropic's API (the AI service that powers our parser) to extract game dates, times, and locations. This text is processed in real time and is not stored by Sideline Studio. Anthropic's own privacy policy governs how they handle API requests — you can read it at anthropic.com/privacy.

When you use our Tournament Tracker, the tournament URL you provide is fetched by our server and processed by the same AI service to find your team's schedule. Again, no data is stored by Sideline Studio after your session ends.

Google Calendar integration

If you choose to sync your games to Google Calendar, you will be asked to authorize Sideline Studio via Google's OAuth flow. We request only the minimum permission needed — the ability to create calendar events. We do not read your existing calendar events, contacts, or any other Google account data. Your Google authorization token is used only during your active session and is not stored by Sideline Studio.

Calendar and ICS file exports

When you download a .ics calendar file, that file is generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. Nothing is transmitted to or stored on our servers during this process.

Automatically collected information

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects basic server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This information is used solely for security and performance monitoring. We do not use this data to identify individual users.

Children's privacy

Sideline Studio is designed for use by parents and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our tools may display the names of youth sports teams, but we do not collect or store any information about individual children.

Third-party tournament websites

Our Tournament Tracker fetches publicly available information from third-party tournament websites. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. Use of those sites is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Data security

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Since we do not store personal data, there is no database of user information that could be breached.

Your rights

Since we do not store personal data tied to your identity, there is no profile to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about data processed during your session, contact us at hello@sidelinestudioco.com.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sideline Studio after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
